Lunar New Year at The Rail Park
The Rail Park is a nonprofit organization and member of the High Line Network on a mission is to build a bold, transformative, and inclusive public space that connects Philadelphia’s residents and visitors to the city and each other.

Through cross-sector partnership and community collaboration, the Rail Park is working to transform a historic railway into three miles of linear park and pathway, enriching the health, culture, and ecology of the city, creating an inclusive economic opportunity for Philadelphians.
The Rail Park's 5th annual Lunar New Year celebration invited more than 2,000 community members to ring in the Year of the Wood Dragon on the park. In addition to a social media campaign, this also included secured coverage and inclusion in various "Things to Do" roundups across Philadelphia publications including Philadelphia Magazine, The Philadelphia Citizen, WHYY, Axios, and VisitPA as well as a post-event broadcast placement with 6abc and NBC10.
The 6th annual Rail Park Lunar New Year Celebration rang in the Year of the Wood Snake in 2025 and saw digital placements in The Philadelphia Inquire, Philadelphia Magazine, Philadelphia Citizen, WHYY, Billy Penn, Metro Philadelphia, and VisitPhilly.
